Angels & Demons
After a brief session where I pouted over having nothing to do, I finally got off my kester and planned some fun stuff to do this weekend. I did end up going out for a couple beers last night – with DH of all people! Crazy, I know! We had a drink, went to a show and then came home to hang out at the house before bed. A fun time, even if I ended up spending 330 of my 500 beer calories.
Tonight, I lucked into a party with a friend-of-a-friend. DH is coming and he’s planning to drink, which works perfectly for me. I can go and have a couple light beers, then be the driver to get us home. I might be seeing one person who I’m not thrilled about having any contact with, but there are plenty of others who I am excited to see to more than keep me happy. I need to watch the emotional drinking and eating (ie, I’ll be having fun & love to drink when I’m having fun) but I also know that I am on stronger footing (diet/lifestyle wise) than I have been in the past. I also am pretty sure I might go over that 500 cal limit, but I am going to try to stay reasonably close.
Also, I offset quite a bit of my calorie overload by eating a sensible lunch and then spending hours gardening – although all the power tools stuff ended up hurting my other rotator cuff now that the left one has healed up so nicely. It hurts hurts hurts.
So another three or four days before I can do any yoga.
