I know I got to be right now

Well, yesterday’s exhaustion is pretty understandable I guess.  I didn’t eat enough, and spending all day in a cleaning frenzy (including moving furniture) drained me.  So I behaved myself and got up at 5am to run this morning.  I love the weather that early – it’s cool and dark and there are only a couple other people out and about.  Something about running under the stars is relaxing.

The downside is that I have to run along main streets where the lighting is good.  I miss running on my hike and bike trail.  I feel more comfortable surrounded by some trees and an asphalt road than I do on a concrete sidewalk, next to a concrete road in front of the plain neighborhood fence.  But there is absolutely no lighting on the trail; I can run easily by the light of the stars, but it’s just too dangerous and isolated.  Hopefully, it will lighten early enough in the summer that I can run in the morning and at least do the last leg home on the trail at dawn.

The other downside of running early in the morning is that it’s only 9:30am and I’m starving, despite eating my normal breakfast sandwhich.  I only have one snack at work today, which I wanted to save for the afternoon.

Side note: Damn it! This theme looks terrible in IE too! Why oh why is it so hard to find a plain theme that actually shows the sidebar where it is supposed to be!!!

  1. Everything looks bad in IE. Just put a “this site best viewed in anything BUT internet explorer” disclaimer at the top….and tell your loyal readers to get Safari or Firefox or Opera or even Netscape. :)
